ROG-GlassTrempe
Tempered safety glass, passive protection for fittings and furnishings
Rglass TEMPE tempered glass is glass that has undergone heat treatment, thereby increasing its mechanical and thermal resistance. This treatment has the effect of generating a system of stresses inside the glass which considerably strengthens the resistance of the finished product.
These constraints put the surface of the glass in strong compression while the interior is in tension. Tempered glass is considered safety glass, in fact, in the event of breakage, the glass fragments into small pieces limiting the risk of accidents by cutting.
Tempered glass complies with standard NF EN 12150, which more specifically defines the fragmentation of products intended for buildings. Rglass TEMPE tempered glasses have the same physical properties (acoustic, thermal, light and energy transmission, density, elasticity) as the same glasses before tempering.
Once tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled or shaped. Any removal of material after the tempering operation will change the characteristics of the tempered glass. Different possible applications: Facades, interior partitions, doors, furniture, balcony separations, shower screens, etc.
